Our Brain Development Training

Why Do We Need Brain Development Training?

The brain is one of the most complex organs in our human body with trillions of synapses that link up the entire communication system within our bodies. It acts like a command center that channels related information around the body and gives instructions to all our organs. It controls and coordinates actions and reactions, allows us to think and feel, and enables us to form memories and experience feelings. As complicated as it seems, the brain is still a muscle. In order to keep it strong and healthy, we have to exercise it through mental stimulation. Like any good exercise regime, this mental stimulation has to be consistent and regular.

Use it or Lose it

Mental stimulation is essentially brain training. This training improves the brain function, hones its mental fitness, and reduces the risk of cognitive decline along with related diseases. Mental stimulation helps the brain grow stronger, faster and become more competent at the millions of daily tasks it is charged with – from memory forming, to problem-solving, to something as simple as concentration. Constant stimuli to the brain may even lead to the development of new brain cells, and hence increasing its capacities. In contrast, non-stimulation or the lack of mental exercise has shown to lead to mental decline over years and may lead to conditions like Dementia, Huntington’s disease, or Parkinson’s disease.

Start Young, Start Right

Starting brain training from a young age helps anchor developing brain cells. In Heguru Singapore, we start our students on Right Brain training through constant mental stimulation from as young as the age of 6 months old. Right Brain training is especially effective and shows even more significant results the earlier you start, as it complements the natural stage of brain development in a young child between 0-3 years old. This will ultimately lead to stronger brain function, and full development of capabilities at an earlier age.

The Heguru Method was developed by the Heguru HQ in Japan for over 30 years with tremendous results in both academic and non-academic arenas. Children who have undergone the Heguru Method of Right Brain training will develop the following qualities:
